All web shop orders are delivered from Melli Ecodesign store in Jyväskylä. Orders can also be picked up from the store, with no shipping costs. Just choose the “store pick up” option.

You will receive an e-mail, when the order is ready for pick up.

In our web shop you can choose different payment options including invoice, card payments or bank transfer. Payments are handled by Checkout Finland (card payments, bank transfers and Mobile Pay), PayPal and Collector Bank for invoice or installments.

The shipping fee in Finland is 5,90€. You get free shipping on all orders over 150€. The shipping fee includes any postal payments and packaging costs. If you choose the “store pick up” option there will be no shipping fees. You will receive an e-mail once the parcel is ready for pick-up.

We will send your order as soon as possible. The delivery time in Finland will be 1-5 working days depending on product and the season. During sales the delivery times can vary. If a part of your order has sold out, we will be in contact.

NOTE! If the order is not collected from the post  we will charge you 15 € for the cost of return.

You have the right to return an item within 14 days of receiving your order. The cost for return is 6,90 € in Finland, other countries 15 €. We don’t do exchanges.

All our items can be returned as customer returns. In case of return, contact us at info@melliecodesign.com. The product needs to be new, unused, unwashed, in its original package and packed accordingly. Attach your contact info, a copy of your order confirmation and your account number for payment return. The condition of the product will be checked before payment is refunded. We do not refund the shipping fees.

If you picked up your order from the store, you can return them there as well. Before returning the items to the store, do contact us at info@melliecodesign.com.

We do not accept returns over 14 days after delivery.

If the item is faulty, you can do a reclamation notice at info@melliecodesign.com and return the item for free. There will be no shipping costs.

The faulty item will be checked carefully after its arrival. If the item is mendable, it will be mended as new. If not, the customer will receive a new item or a refund. For refund, we kindly ask the customer to give us their account number.

A discount code will be activated as a coupon. Write the discount code in the coupon code field in the shopping cart. The discount will be automatically deducted from the total.

Firstly, check that the code is written correctly. Secondly, check that there are no extra signs in front or after the code. Check that it is still valid. Most of our discount codes expire after few days and gift cards are valid for 6 months after purchase.

A gift card is valid for up to 6 months after purchase. The gift card can be used for all Melli EcoDesign web shop items. The amount on the gift card must be used all at once, we do not refund money from the card.

Paying with gift card: The gift card will be activated as a coupon. Write the code on the gift card in the coupon code field in the shopping cart. The sum will automatically be deducted from the order sum.

We think it’s important to produce clothing that’s good for our customers and employees as well as the planet. Therefore, we keep our production and supply chains transparent. They are not hidden, as we are proud of our choices. 
All the materials we use are natural or recycled, such as GOTS certified organic cotton, mulesing-free merino wool, tencel and viscose bamboo. 
All our clothing is designed and sewn in our own factory in Jyväskylä. It is important to us to keep the sewing production in our hometown.

  • Airing is the best way to care for merino wool. Merino wool is a naturally antibacterial fiber, so merino wool products do not need to be washed often. By ventilating, you increase the lifespan of the product.
  • When washing the product, use a wool washing program or hand wash.
  • The use of a laundry bag is recommended. 
  • Low washing temperature, 30 degrees.
  • Wash the garment inside out. 
  • Use a detergent intended for washing wool with a pH below 7. 
  • Do not use fabric softener, as it will fluff the wool fiber. 
  • Shape the garment when wet. 
  • Do not tumble dry.

The following things can affect the damage of a merino wool product:

  1. Scrubbing/washing without a laundry bag. Merino wool clothes should be washed with a 30-degree wool washing program using a laundry bag, so that they don’t stick to or rub against the zippers or buttons of other clothes. Zippers and buttons should be closed during washing.
  2. The wrong detergent can also cause holes. For merino wool clothes, a detergent intended for washing wool clothes with a pH below 7 is recommended. Ordinary detergents with a ph above 7 can weaken the wool fiber, which may cause the holes on fabric.
  3. Merino wool clothes should be kept clean in a closed and tight space or in a package, so that inconspicuous clothes moths cannot get into them. Clothes moth larvae can cause holes in merino wool clothes, especially during storage, when the clothes are not actively used.
